April 26 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm$125.00
Each social hour will have two instructors to separate beginner and intermediate students. The goal is to be able to sit down at a table for food or drink while your dog relaxes next to you. We will focus on skills such as leash manners, sit/down, place, stay, auto and cued leave it, and how to handle distractions including children, other dogs and humans that would like to pet your dog.
Each class will start in the parking lot. At this time, the group may be split. We will focus on proper leash manners as we reach the patio of our location. Once at the patio location, if appropriate the group will occupy a table where you will work on your sit/down, place and stay commands.
Your dog should know each command even if they are not perfect in this setting. You should always bring a water bowl, water, poop bags, a mat for place, a special chew bone while in place and a variety of treats.
If your dog is struggling in any way with fear, anxiety, or reactivity we may ask that you decompress your dog in the car or we may suggest taking the dog home. In this case, you will receive a credit to use towards your next session (includes Social Hour, Adventure Hour, Tutoring Session or a private lesson).
