Daycare Supervisor Workshop

Nikki will present a weekend-long daycare workshop in June 2018. This workshop is for anyone who works with dogs in a daycare environment, is interested in becoming a daycare supervisor or is interested in dog interaction and safe play.
Nikki will cover the following topics:
Why dog daycare is important (it’s more than just for play)
How and why dogs communicate and interact with humans and other dogs
How to help dogs avoid conflict
Daycare evaluation do’s and don’ts
Keeping dog interaction safe
How to help timid and shy dogs
How to deal with inappropriate behavior
How to be an excellent daycare supervisor or employee
Navigating client interactions

Sunday, June 24, 2018: 8:00am-6:00pm
(There will be several breaks as well as lunch on Saturday and Sunday)

Cost: $275 ($75 additional with dog)*
Participants will receive classroom and hands-on training.
Due to facility regulations, dogs must be approved prior to registration. Only 6 student dogs will be permitted. Proof of vaccinations required.

Auditors will receive classroom training, and can view hands-on participants.
*Cost includes dinner on Saturday and Nikki’s dog daycare supervision supplemental guide.

Can I bring my dog? Only 6 approved participants’ dogs will be allowed to come to the workshop.
Will I be a certified DogSpeak Daycare Supervisor after completing training? No, however you can have contact us for details on how to become certified. The workshop will count toward hours required for certification.
What if I don’t want to participate in hands-on training? That’s just fine! When contacting us to sign up, just let us know you’d like to be an auditor rather than a participant.
